In this role, you will play a vital part in strategic New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, as well as in sustaining and enhancing legacy products. Your responsibilities will include supporting ongoing software development activities, investigating customer complaints, leading projects to address software-related issues within existing products, and implementing product enhancements to meet evolving customer needs and competitive market demands. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders and engineering resources based in the United States (US), to deliver high-quality, innovative healthcare solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based web applications and software solutions that support new product development, product enhancements, and the resolution of field issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Quality Assurance (QA) teams, and Engineering teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Apply modern architectural patterns, design principles, and software engineering best practices to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable applications.
  • Lead subsystem-level design and development activities, driving technical execution with minimal supervision while ensuring alignment with the overall product architecture.
  • Develop, test, debug, and optimize software components, ensuring compliance with quality, performance, and security standards.
  • Champion the application of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD), and IEC 62304 standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to promote engineering excellence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to evolving business priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within established project timelines.
  • Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and design sessions to support efficient and effective product delivery.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12-15 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade web applications, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions.
  • Proven expertise in full-stack application development using Java, TypeScript, React, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience developing solutions on Microsoft Azure (preferred), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), enterprise integration patterns, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and other modern database technologies. Exposure to Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or similar database platforms is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices, utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps, code quality tools, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT); exposure to Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ is considered advantageous.
  • Familiarity with modern Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted development tools, such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, software design patterns, software architecture, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience within the healthcare, medical device, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence key architectural decisions.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and global collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and sound decision-making abilities.
