Laborer (Banquet) NA-04

Summary

This position will provide support for all MWR Installation Wide Recreation Events but may fill other positions within the Business Recreation Division Join our team at the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of Soldiers and their Families by providing essential support services and recreational activities that contribute to Soldier readiness and well-being. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Duties

• Sets up banquet areas, private parties and outside facilities for formal dinner shows, luaus, meetings, conferences, weddings, etc. involving the physical assembly movement and arrangement of furniture and equipment.
• Sets up stages, dance floors, pianos, runways; assembling required items, and arranging the areas.
• Restores rooms or areas; removes, transports and stores property and equipment.
• Operates a complex electric ground cart for movement of food, supplies and equipment.
• Performs tasks that require significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, several steps, phases and detailed procedures following drawings, specifications while utilizing knowledge of project requirements.

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.A qualified candidate must possess the following: ability to remember and follow directions that involve several steps, phases, or detailed procedures, AND ability to use hand tools to assemble items (e.g., hammer, screwdriver, drill, etc...), AND ability to operate an electric ground cart in order to transport food, supplies, and/or equipment.
